the iranians seem to be seeing many these days..
when i was still a jdub sometimes i would express my belief in UFO's (as meaning that there is such a thing as intelligent life on other planets) and i was told i couldn't because that would put the whole "sovereignty issue" into question because those aliens would have been made long before man was and they would have either been loyal to God or not... to which i said, "hey thanks for your opinion, but i'll keep believing what i like."

not to give the FDS any suggestions, but maybe if, on the report, instead of counting quantity, they counted quality they would actually get something accomplished with their minions. im sure jdubs would feel a lot guiltier about writing down that they had a good convo when they actually didnt than just faking a few hours... at least jdubs would get the importance and feeling of ministry instead of making it "how can we make these two hours go by the quickest?"

for me it was, "did you place today?
" pretty much sums up what service is about for most witnesses... i always prefered a good conversation, even at a young age... but the pat on the back always came from making placements... especially if it was a book!.

one time while out in service we saw some mormon's working the same territory.. the inevitable put-down comment was made that "they" only put in two years of "missionary" work in, then their church helps them financially to get "set" in the business world (bastards!).
unlike "us" (the dubs) who slave for the lord our whole life.
and get nothing (in this life).. so i started to do the math... if you just go strictly by "witness" standards of weights and measurements (counting "time"), here's what i came up with:.
and the funny thing about mormons is: THEY DONT PRETEND TO KNOCK ON DOORS, THEY ACTUALLY MAKE THEIR HOURS COUNT, AND THEY ACTUALLY TRY TO ENGAGE IN SPIRITUAL/SCRIPTURAL CONVERSATIONS... a lot of times they dont even have an extra book of mormon on them, which means they're not ALL about placements. when i would return from service (years ago), the first question asked was>>>> u guessed it! "DID U PLACE ANY MAGS TODAY???" sorry guys im gonna have to make a new thread out of that...

i was just remembering back to when i was around 13 years old or so.
my friend, who was 15, and i were both pretty sick and tired of field service.
we tried to work together as much as possible and one summer we worked almost exclusively alone as door-to-door partners.
yea that was the only good thing about service other than coffee breaks. if u went with someone ur age, u could pretend to knock, pretend to talk, and ALWAYS balk
